PACU RN – Full-Time

Role Overview: This RN position is based at a surgical center specializing in ambulatory otolaryngology and ophthalmology procedures. The role involves providing peri-anesthesia care, including pre- and post-operative patient management, education, and assessment.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
  • Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual values.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: RN license required; BLS, ACLS or PALS certifications needed.
  • Experience: ICU, ED, or critical care RN experience preferred; no prior experience required for entry-level.
  • Additional: PACU experience is preferred.
