Provide immediate post-operative care to surgical patients, including airway support, cardiac and neurological monitoring, wound care, and rapid response to complications.
Key duties:
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status using evidence-based practices.
- Deliver safe, high-quality post-operative nursing care and intervention as needed.
- Identify changes in condition and manage or escalate complications appropriately.
- Perform ongoing wound and post-operative care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery expectations, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.
Qualifications & skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to monitor vital systems (cardiac/neurological/airway), proficiency in post-operative nursing care, clear documentation, patient and family education, and effective teamwork.
