Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to promote patient recovery and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining a high level of alertness and safety awareness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree, RN license, with no prior experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
Additional Requirements: PACU, ED, or ICU experience is preferred.
