PACU – Clinical Nurse

Role Overview

The nurse provides direct patient care within established standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management and post-treatment needs, and participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams ensures comprehensive care planning and communication across the continuum. Critical nursing skills are essential to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Current RN license and nursing diploma/associate’s degree; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • ACLS certification required; ICU or PACU experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain constant alertness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and educate patients and families.
  • Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Assess and address physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety, and professional development activities.
