Registered Nurse – Outpatient Prep & Recovery
Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for surgical and procedural patients. Perform patient assessments, initiate IV access, administer medications, and deliver patient and family education. Support safe recovery by monitoring patients and following evidence-based protocols. Develop and implement discharge planning to ensure patients and families understand next steps.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-procedure nursing assessments
- Start and manage IV access as needed
- Administer medications and deliver appropriate care
- Educate patients and families and support informed decision-making
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient follow-up needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and education abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow evidence-based protocols
- Compassionate, safety-focused approach to patient care
