Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinical Nurse

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care following established standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment needs.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
  • Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
  • Maintains safety-sensitive responsibilities, working in a constant state of alertness to ensure safety.
  • Qualifications:

  • RN license required; Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • No prior experience needed; <2 years preferred for higher qualification.
  • Preferred certifications include chemo certification and oncology experience.
