Orthopedics Nurse

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care within established nursing standards, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Participates in safety and quality improvement activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, addressing physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs. Maintains a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
  • Skills: Critical nursing skills, effective communication, teamwork, cultural competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate patient needs across physical, emotional, and spiritual domains.
  • Educate patients and families on care management and post-discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and communicate care plans.
