Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care within the orthopedics unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and barriers to involvement.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring constant alertness and safe practices.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but two years of experience and Bachelor’s degree are preferred.
- Orthopedics and/or Med-Surg experience is desirable.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
