Operating Room Nurse provides safe, evidence-based perioperative care as part of a collaborative surgical team.
Key duties
- Assess and prepare patients for surgery.
- Circulate and/or scrub during procedures.
- Closely monitor patient status and respond to changes to support safety.
- Follow strict sterile technique and perioperative safety protocols.
- Accurately document nursing care and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families and support informed, patient-first care.
- Contribute to a culture grounded in compassion, integrity, and teamwork.
Qualifications & skills
- Registered nursing background with perioperative OR experience or strong readiness to work in the OR.
- Proficiency in sterile processing, safety practices, and perioperative workflow.
- Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical judgment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
