Operating Room Nurse provides exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced operating room environment. Working closely with surgeons and the interprofessional surgical team, the role is essential to supporting safe, effective surgical procedures while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment to support patient safety
- Assist surgeons and coordinate with healthcare professionals throughout procedures
- Monitor patient condition, recognize complications, and respond promptly
- Adhere to sterile technique, infection prevention practices, and surgical safety protocols
- Support compliance with facility policies, documentation, and quality improvement efforts
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered nurse with strong perioperative/OR experience
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, surgical safety, and infection control
- Excellent clinical judgment, situational awareness, and ability to work under pressure
- Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced setting
