Travel RN – Operating Room provides exceptional perioperative nursing care by preparing for and supporting a variety of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub during diverse operative cases.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, and the surgical team.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and sterile processing/aseptic protocols.
- Perform patient assessments pre- and intraoperatively.
- Document care and clinical information in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families to support understanding and perioperative preparation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered nurse with strong perioperative/OR experience.
- Proficiency in maintaining aseptic technique and OR safety practices.
- Ability to assess patients and support clinical decision-making during procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with surgeons and anesthesia.
- Competence in EMR documentation and clear patient/family education.
