Role: RN Charge Nurse – Operating Room
Coordinate perioperative care and lead an OR nursing team by supervising patient flow, assigning staff, and ensuring compliance with evidence-based surgical practices and infection-prevention standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support teams to optimize patient safety and outcomes
- Mentor and support OR nurses
- Manage OR supplies and equipment to ensure readiness
- Lead or support response to clinical emergencies
- Document perioperative nursing care accurately and completely
- Promote integrity, compassion, accountability, and continuous quality improvement
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experienced registered nurse with strong perioperative/OR knowledge
- Proven leadership and team coordination skills
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and surgical standards
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate across clinical disciplines
- Sound judgment under pressure with a commitment to patient safety
