Oncology/Surgical ICU Registered Nurse – Part Time

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a high-acuity ICU specializing in Oncology, Surgical, and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. The nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, promoting safety, quality, and patient-family centered care. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and optimal outcomes.

Key Duties:

  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Participate in professional development activities, including simulation and certification preparation.
  • Promote safety and regulatory compliance through active participation in quality initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation and communication of care plans across the continuum.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current RN license; no prior experience required, but 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Preferred: Oncology, ICU, or surgical bedside experience; certifications such as CCRN, OCN, or BMTNC are encouraged.
