Role Overview
This PRN Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to a diverse patient population in an acute care setting, including orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical patients. The role involves establishing treatment plans, delivering therapies, and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal discharge planning and functional recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements.
- Educates and consults with patients, families, and healthcare providers; makes referrals as necessary.
- Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, assessing their competency levels.
- Completes accurate documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
- Performs assessments, reassessments, and consultations related to occupational therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist.
- No prior experience required; supervisory experience is not necessary.
