Occupational Therapist – PRN

Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to a diverse patient population in an acute care setting, including orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical cases. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, delivering interventions, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare teams, delegating tasks to assistants and students, and documenting care in accordance with departmental policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred)
  • No prior experience necessary; supervision experience not required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Duties

  • Establish and implement treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional goals
  • Educate and consult with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Delegate to support staff based on their skill levels
  • Complete accurate documentation of services provided
  • Conduct assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy
