Role Overview

This PRN Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services to patients in an acute care setting, including orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical cases. The role involves developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare teams, delegating tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements.
  • Educates and consults with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making appropriate referrals.
  • Delegates interventions to assistants, techs, and students based on skill levels.
  • Performs assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy services.
  • Completes documentation aligning with departmental policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT); Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) license required.
  • No prior experience necessary; supervision experience not required.
