Role Overview: An occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily living activities, mobility, cognitive function, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies.
Implement and adjust treatment activities, provide patient and family education, and coordinate follow-up care.
Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge instructions per departmental protocols.
Maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical practices, and communicate effectively with team members.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and process improvement activities.
Foster a positive environment, exemplify excellent customer service, and promote teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Hold valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist, BLS certification, a Georgia driver’s license, and private vehicle insurance.
Possess effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills.
Must be able to operate a personal vehicle and travel to patient locations and facilities as needed.
