Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, and coordination. Services are delivered across the continuum, adhering to quality, cost, and regulatory standards.
- Key Duties: Conduct patient evaluations, develop and revise treatment plans with input from patients and families, provide therapy interventions, and deliver discharge instructions. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans per departmental guidelines.
- Patient & Family Collaboration: Establish realistic goals and discharge plans, educate patients and families, and refer to community resources as needed.
- Compliance & Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical practices, and participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory training. Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Customer Service & Teamwork: Apply AIDET principles, foster a positive environment, and communicate effectively with team members and patients. Support a respectful and collaborative workplace.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, valid Georgia license, BLS certification, and a Georgia driver’s license with vehicle insurance. Effective communication, teamwork, basic computer skills, and ability to operate a personal vehicle are required.
