Role Overview:
This position involves providing skilled occupational therapy services to patients through evaluation and treatment, including developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare providers. It requires delegating tasks to assistants and ensuring proper documentation. The role may support alternative hours, including weekends, to assist with patient evaluations and care.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and implementing treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements.
- Educating and consulting with patients, families, and healthcare teams, making appropriate referrals.
- Delegating interventions to assistants based on competency levels.
- Completing accurate documentation in line with departmental policies.
- Providing assessments, re-assessments, and consultations for Occupational Therapy Services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
- Valid Driver’s License and Occupational Therapist Licensure.
- No prior experience required; supervisory experience not necessary.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
