Role Overview:
A Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant provides personalized therapy services under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
Their primary responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with vocational and community reintegration activities, designing adaptive equipment, instructing patients and families, and participating in care coordination and discharge planning.
The role focuses on helping patients improve strength, coordination, range of motion, and independence, promoting better quality of life within their home environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current and unrestricted OTA licensure
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred qualifications include a minimum of six months OTA experience and prior home health experience.
Key Duties:
- Deliver therapy services as delegated by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist in implementing treatment and education programs
- Design and adapt equipment and environments to enhance independence
- Document patient progress and report to supervisors
- Educate patients and families on care and adaptive equipment use
- Participate in care coordination and discharge planning
- Develop community reintegration activities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Additional Details: Compensation ranges from $57,600 to $78,800 annually, with benefits supporting overall well-being, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off. The role involves patient-facing activities and requires adherence to safety and TB screening protocols.
