Occupational Therapist – Acute Care

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide skilled inpatient services in an acute care hospital setting. The therapist will evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans, considering discharge needs, functional status, and equipment requirements.

  • Establishes and implements treatment plans aligned with patient goals
  • Educates and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams; makes referrals as needed
  • Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring appropriate skill level and competency
  • Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies
  • Provides assessments, reassessments, and consultations for occupational therapy services

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience is not required; supervision experience is not mandatory

Key Duties

  • Deliver patient-centered care that reflects individual needs and values
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with policies
