Role & Responsibilities: This position involves planning and implementing occupational therapy treatment programs across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric, following established practices and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The supervisor oversees roles such as Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students/observers.
Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations, including lifting loads up to 50 pounds, physical mobility, and stamina for frequent location and position changes. Strong communication skills, physical strength, and the capacity to handle emergency situations are required. Knowledge of protective equipment use and exposure to chemicals may be involved. Visual and hearing acuity with assistance is necessary.
Key Duties: Supervising staff, developing treatment plans, and ensuring quality patient care. The role requires physical activities such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and twisting, often frequently or continuously.
