Role Summary: The occupational therapist plans and implements treatment programs for patients across all ages, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote health and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and modify interventions based on ongoing evaluations.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, handling cultural diversity and providing professional feedback.
- Maintain documentation, assist in discharge planning, and recommend adaptive equipment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Participate in evidence-based activities, promote departmental policies, and contribute to quality improvement.
- Mentor staff and students, foster team relationships, and support department development and cohesion.
- Identify and solve problems, evaluate outcomes, and ensure safety and infection control standards.
- Accept and promote change, handle stress effectively, and actively engage in continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist certification required.
- No prior experience necessary.
