Join our healthcare team as an ObGyn Hospitalist Physician working 10-hour night shifts from 9 pm to 7 am, with a minimum of 3 shifts per month and options for more. This 1099 role requires physicians to carry their own malpractice and tail insurance (limits of 200/600 per occurrence). The position is ideal for those seeking to reduce or cease private OB coverage or focus on clinic work without leaving obstetrics entirely.
Our facility handles nearly 100 deliveries monthly in a Level 2 nursery, with transfer options to a Level 3 center for high-risk or pre-32-week cases. Responsibilities include managing L&D and postpartum patients, evaluating triage cases, responding to consults, considering transfers, and handling discharge procedures using Epic EMR. Surgical assistance is available at all times.
Requirements include an MD from an accredited institution, board certification or eligibility in ObGyn, and a valid Texas medical license. Proven inpatient obstetrics experience is necessary.
Compensation ranges from $190 to $235 per hour with a flexible schedule. In-person work location.
