This position supports the management of Pulmonary Critical Care Service Line patients, assisting with admissions, rounds, consults, history and physicals, discharges, and other duties within their scope of practice. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with Pulmonologists and other physicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications include:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant Master’s program with evidence of continuing education
- Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and RN or Physician’s Assistant
- National certification in a nursing specialty area
- Prescriptive authority (DEA number)
- Proficiency in assessment and procedures such as intubation, central line, arterial line placement, and ventilator management
- ACLS and BLS certification
- 1-3 years of healthcare/medical nurse experience, with critical acute care experience preferred
This full-time role is based at a medical center’s Pulmonology Unit, with day hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
