The Psychiatric Mental Health Advance Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care.
As part of an experienced team including physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals, the APP evaluates, diagnoses, monitors, and manages patients using advanced assessment skills and clinical therapeutics, collaborating closely with supervising physicians.
**Qualifications:**
Post Graduate Degree Advanced Practice Clinician Licensure BLS & ACLS certifications No prior experience required
**Skills:**
Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions, proficiency with computer systems and medical record charting
**Mental & Emotional Skills:**
Stress management, decision-making under pressure, handling difficult situations, multitasking, ability to work independently and in confined/crowded areas
**Working Conditions:**
Exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases Use of computer monitors
**Physical Requirements:**
Medium exertion, prolonged sitting, standing, walking, manual dexterity, good vision and coordination, ability to perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs periodically
