Role: Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting complex surgical procedures across various specialties including neuro, spine, and cardiac.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in promoting patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and document individualized care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, with specific expertise in neuro, spine, and cardiac surgeries preferred.
- Ability to circulate and scrub in all OR pods.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
