Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN

Role Overview: A Nuclear Medicine technologist responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures with accuracy, safety, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing a wide range of technical procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, and assessing contraindications.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitoring patient condition, and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintaining equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Providing patient education, addressing questions, and ensuring privacy and comfort.
  • Documenting procedures accurately, participating in departmental training, and supporting quality control.
  • Transporting patients, managing supplies, and supporting departmental operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
  • Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, BLS or Instructor.
  • Ability to operate NM equipment, demonstrate critical thinking, and follow safety protocols.

Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Willingness to assist colleagues and participate in departmental duties.
