Role Overview: A Nuclear Medicine technologist responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures with accuracy, safety, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide range of technical procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, and assessing contraindications.
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitoring patient condition, and responding to emergencies.
- Maintaining equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and adhering to infection control policies.
- Providing patient education, addressing questions, and ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Documenting procedures accurately, participating in departmental training, and supporting quality control.
- Transporting patients, managing supplies, and supporting departmental operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, BLS or Instructor.
- Ability to operate NM equipment, demonstrate critical thinking, and follow safety protocols.
