Role Overview:
This position involves performing nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging, therapeutic procedures, and quality control tasks. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts independent studies, on-call, portable exams, and works across different sites as needed. The role includes utilizing advanced imaging equipment and staying current with multi-slice CT and PET techniques, contributing to a top-ranked radiology department.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Perform imaging studies independently and in various settings, including on-call situations.
- Assist with nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostics treatments, including dosimetry imaging.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher).
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RT(N) or CNMT).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine and 2+ years of experience.
- Licenses: R.T.(N)/CNMT, IEMA (Illinois), CPR certification.
