Position Overview
The Respiratory Therapist performs direct patient care related to respiratory therapy based on physician orders. They consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for respiratory care to physicians and nursing staff. The role involves utilizing respiratory care devices and ensuring proper patient support.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring pushing, pulling, gripping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Preferred certifications include ACLS; PALS required for ER roles
Experience is not mandatory
