Role Overview:
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and prior to licensure. They are required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to remain employed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Utilize critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans collaboratively, promoting patient- and family-centered healing.
- Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans accordingly.
- Participate in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Additional qualifications or experience in relevant nursing specialties.
- Ability to work safely and alertly, with a focus on patient safety.
