Role Overview
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following completion of a nursing program and prior to licensure. They must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to remain employed.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and families on managing illness, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Use critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient-centered care.
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness.
Minimum Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
