Role Overview:
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and prior to licensure. They must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment in Missouri.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and families on managing illness, treatments, and medication administration.
- Use critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient-centered care.
- Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans as needed.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness, as position is safety-sensitive.
- Must obtain nursing licensure within 90 days of graduation.
