Neurosurgery Nurse – Nights

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a neurosurgery unit, focusing on patients who have undergone cranial or spinal procedures, stroke, or neurological conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to nursing standards.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
  • Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations.
  • Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a safety-sensitive approach, working in a constant state of alertness to ensure safe care delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license required; Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred for higher education.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
