Role Overview:
This nursing position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized Neuro Medicine unit, including an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
It offers opportunities to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and time management while working with diverse patient populations, including neuro-surgical and seizure patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring constant alertness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred for more experience.
- Licenses: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
