Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse – Days

Role Overview:

Seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a specialized Neuro Medicine unit, including an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within established nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety and quality compliance. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and evaluating physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree and RN licensure.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two years of experience.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and medication management.
  • Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  • Utilize critical thinking to assess patient needs, including psychosocial and cultural factors.
  • Contribute to a healing environment, supporting regulatory and safety standards.
