Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse – Days

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized Neuro Medicine unit, including an epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU), with opportunities to enhance clinical assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills. The unit cares for diverse neuro and neurosurgical patients, offering a solid foundation for nursing career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities; engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
  • Maintain safety standards, working alertly and responsibly at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree and RN license; no prior experience necessary.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
