Role Overview: This position involves leading and overseeing tax services related to mutual funds, specifically Regulated Investment Companies (RIC).
- Responsibilities: Review and manage tax provision work papers, financial statement disclosures, and complex investment transactions such as derivatives.
- Prepare income and capital estimates for RIC distributions.
- Assess documentation to support client deliverables and provide high-quality tax consulting services.
- Manage client engagements, maintain communication, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor team members to foster professional growth.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have at least four years of recent mutual fund tax experience, with a CPA, EA, JD, or LLM credential or be willing to obtain one within a year. Strong understanding of regulated investment company taxation, financial statements, and fund accounting reports is essential. Demonstrated client service skills, attention to detail, and teamwork are required.
