MRI Technologist (PRN)

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services through independent judgment and technical expertise. The technologist prepares and positions patients, operates imaging equipment, and ensures accurate, clinically acceptable results while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtains complete clinical history, reviews images, and assesses patient conditions.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures, including contrast administration, following safety protocols.
  • Ensures proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment, troubleshooting issues promptly.
  • Explains procedures to patients, addresses questions, and documents accurately.
  • Participates in quality control, ensures equipment calibration, and adheres to regulatory standards.
  • Supports department operations, including patient transport, supply management, and documentation.
  • Collaborates with team members and assists in training staff as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certified MRI Technologist (ARMRIT or ARRT-MR) and BLS certification required.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle stress effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities and understanding of anatomy, pathology, and MRI safety protocols.
