Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate imaging services by performing a variety of technical procedures independently. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and ensures image quality while adhering to safety and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patients for contraindications.
- Administer contrast media safely, verifying patient information and preparing patients for procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain cleanliness and infection control.
- Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
- Review images for quality, transmit studies to PACS, and document accurately.
- Assist in patient transport, support procedures, and perform routine clerical tasks.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, follow safety guidelines, and participate in mandatory training.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies, including taking call when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Accredited Radiologic Technology program certification.
- ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI settings.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Competence in MRI procedures, anatomy, pathology, and safety protocols.
