Role Overview:
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced environment, working independently and as a resource for technologists. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies, and oversees shift operations, including workflow and problem-solving. They serve as a clinical resource, mentor staff, and ensure smooth departmental functions, including supply management and communication with supervisors.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
- Performing imaging studies independently and during on-call or portable situations
- Managing shift operations and prioritizing tasks
- Problem-solving, mentoring, and assisting with difficult exams
- Acting as a liaison between the team and supervisor
- Maintaining supplies and communication
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree or trade school equivalency
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- 2-5 years’ experience; preferred 5-10 years
- Licenses such as RTR, CT, MR, and relevant certifications
- Experience in leadership roles or supervision is advantageous
