MRI Technologist – Part Time (3 Days/Week) – Day Shift

Role Overview:

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced environment, working independently and as a resource for technologists. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies, and oversees shift operations, including workflow and problem-solving. They serve as a clinical resource, mentor staff, and ensure smooth departmental functions, including supply management and communication with supervisors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
  • Performing imaging studies independently and during on-call or portable situations
  • Managing shift operations and prioritizing tasks
  • Problem-solving, mentoring, and assisting with difficult exams
  • Acting as a liaison between the team and supervisor
  • Maintaining supplies and communication

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate degree or trade school equivalency
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
  • 2-5 years’ experience; preferred 5-10 years
  • Licenses such as RTR, CT, MR, and relevant certifications
  • Experience in leadership roles or supervision is advantageous
