Role Overview:
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients to support diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, conduct studies independently, and assist with complex exams. They will oversee shift operations, manage workflow, and serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
- Perform studies independently, including portable and on-call exams.
- Manage daily workflow, assignments, and equipment issues.
- Provide expertise, problem-solving, and mentorship to team members.
- Coordinate communication between team and supervisor, ensuring proper supplies and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency.
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.
- 2-5 years of experience, with preferred advanced imaging experience (MRI, CT, etc.).
- Licenses and certifications as required, including IEMA for Illinois (excluding MRI).
- Strong technical skills, critical thinking, and leadership capabilities.
