MRI Technologist – Operating Room (OR) – Days (3 x 12’s)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior MRI Technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures in a surgical environment, supporting interventional and operative cases using Siemens MRI machines. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, independently conducting studies, and ensuring regulatory compliance (ACR, JC). The technologist will lead quality assurance efforts, assist in department initiatives, and mentor new staff or students. This position offers no call requirements, with day shift hours across three days per week, initially on a 5-day training schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures independently and in on-call situations
  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging studies
  • Lead quality assurance and safety improvement initiatives
  • Mentor new employees and students
  • Assist with regulatory compliance and department quality programs

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
  • 2+ years of experience, with MRI and OR experience preferred
  • Licenses including R.T.(R), CT, MR, or related certifications; CPR and IV therapy certifications are a plus
  • Strong critical thinking, professional judgment, and mentorship skills
