MRI Technologist – Night Shift

Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and transfer data for storage or processing.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers; assist with MRI safety and interventional procedures.
  • Select pulse sequences based on protocols and participate in MRI safety implant investigations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire; new graduates need certification prior to employment.
  • Experience in radiologic technology and knowledge of MRI safety protocols.
  • Graduate of a specialty training program in radiologic technology; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Key Duties: Ensure proper patient preparation, conduct imaging procedures, evaluate image quality, and support safety and interventional activities. Maintain compliance with policies and uphold organizational values of kindness, excellence, learning, innovation, and safety.
