Role Overview: This position is for a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The role involves performing imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures across various body regions following radiologist protocols.
- Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and answer questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Administer IV contrast, perform venous access, and handle non-controlled medications.
- Enter data into imaging systems, process images, and identify anatomical structures.
- Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
- Assist with supply management, act as a liaison to physicians, and support radiological needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or similar, with ongoing certification requirements.
- Graduate of a radiologic technology training program; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRI safety standards, imaging procedures, and anatomy recognition.
- Ability to operate imaging equipment, perform quality control, and communicate effectively.
