Role: MRI Technologist I, with potential consideration for higher levels based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures and acquiring data for diagnosis under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
- Preparing patients, ensuring proper identification, and obtaining clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
- Utilizing appropriate imaging protocols, optimizing technical factors, and applying ALARA principles to maximize safety and image quality.
- Administering medications as prescribed, evaluating images for quality, and verifying data transfer and storage.
- Educating and monitoring students and healthcare providers, and assisting with MRI interventional procedures.
- Selecting pulse sequences based on protocols and contributing to quality improvement activities.
- Applying safety principles to minimize risks to patients and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR specialization.
- Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in routine and complex MRI procedures and committed to organizational priorities.
