Job Summary
Seeking MRI Technologists responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They independently conduct or assist with MRI scans, ensuring proper patient identification, safety, and adherence to protocols while optimizing image quality and applying ALARA principles. Responsibilities include preparing and administering medications, evaluating image quality, and verifying data transfer. They educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, assist with interventional procedures, and select appropriate pulse sequences. The role requires full proficiency in routine and complex duties, participation in quality improvement activities, and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certifications: ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR or ARMRIT
- Education: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and technical procedures
- Ability to educate others and work collaboratively in a clinical environment
