MRI Technologist

Role Overview:

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies independently, on-call, and for portable exams, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging procedures utilizing advanced modalities, including MRI, with potential cross-training into other areas.
  • Maintain proper patient positioning, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and quality control of imaging studies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or trade school certification in radiologic technology.
  • Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES.
  • Preferred experience of 2+ years and CPR, intravenous therapy certifications.
  • Must be registered (R.T. or MRI) or willing to cross-train and obtain registration.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Conduct studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
  • Participate in call rotation, including weekend coverage.
