Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents accurately, safely, and with dignity. This role involves following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and maintaining precise documentation in MAR/TAR systems in real-time. The position requires monitoring residents during and after medication passes, observing for symptoms, and reporting any concerns or refusals promptly. Maintaining clean and organized medication carts and rooms, following infection control standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance are essential duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care

This role plays a critical part in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through attention to detail and compliance.
