Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents safely, accurately, and with dignity, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration. They ensure proper documentation in MAR/TAR, monitor residents during and after medication passes, observe for health changes, and report any concerns or refusals promptly. Maintenance of clean medication carts and adherence to infection control and safety standards are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow safety protocols and document accurately in MAR/TAR in real time
• Observe residents’ responses and monitor symptoms
• Report concerns, refusals, and maintain narcotic counts
• Maintain medication areas in compliance with infection control standards

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care
